CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • Adult Ballet. This class is a fee-based ballet class with Gianna Davy. Please pay the instructor directly. Please contact her for more information at [email protected]
  • Aqua Aerobics. Splish-Splash! A fun-filled class in the pool for cardio and strength conditioning. All levels welcome.
  • Barre Fusion. Dance-based total body workout in bare feet, sticky socks, or dance shoes.
  • Barre Sport. A low-intensity class combining ballet, yoga, calisthenics, compound movements, and light weights. Build total-body strength and endurance, cleanse and detoxify your muscles, and build your metabolism. Suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners. Be prepared to sweat.
  • Book Club. Monthly book club, meeting the last Tuesday of the month.
  • Congolese African Dance. Spiritually uplifting, high energy dance from the heart of the Congo! All skill levels welcome.
  • Core & More. Build a powerful core, targeting abs, obliques, glutes, and low back to improve posture, balance, and stability.
  • Cycle. Cycling is a motivating, dynamic, and revolutionary workout held on stationary bikes in a group setting. Taught to music by certified cycling instructors, the classes are designed to challenge all fitness levels. Sign up is required.
  • Cycle + HIIT. Get ready for this killer combo workout! 25 minutes of cycle plus 25 minutes of high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
  • Deep Slow Yoga. Class starts with breath practices to center mind and body and progresses into seated long stretches, standing postures, and abdominal work. Guided deep relaxation rounds out the class. 60-minute practice plus 30-minute relaxation.
  • Fit Over Fifty. Non-dance cardiovascular workout with strength training, balance, & stretching.
  • Flow Yoga. A yoga-based workout focused on basic breath & movement. Please bring your own mat and any other equipment the instructor requests.
  • Gentle Yoga. Deep breathing and postures held in a relaxed meditative state. Quiet the mind and experience deep body awareness.
  • HIIT the Yard. You’ll quickly adapt to the fast-paced, high energy flow of this format, focusing on heart rate training, moving in all planes of motion with exercises ranging from low impact to ballistic movements (with modifications for all), and playing with all the fun gear Parkpoint has to offer!
  • Low & Muscle. Combines easy-to-follow, low impact movements for a cardio workout, followed by body sculpting using body bars, weights, & bands.
  • Masters Swim. Masters Swim is a coached swim workout for experienced Masters Swimmers. The program is free to all members. The classes use all 4 lanes of the pool. Please arrive 10 minutes early for instructions from the Coach.
  • Muscle Hustle. This class includes cardio and targets every major muscle group using a variety of toys to make this workout fun and effective.
  • Qigong. Qigong (pronounced CHEE-GOONG) is a gentle yet powerful ancient Chinese self-healing practice that includes meditative movement, breathing, mental focus, and healing imagery. Practicing Qigong can increase vitality, strengthen your resistance to cancer and illness, enhance the immune system, energize the lymphatic system, strengthen digestion, relieve stress and pain, prevent injury, strengthen balance to prevent falls, improve cardiovascular and respiratory function, and leave you feeling blissful. You may practice in shoes, socks, or bare feet. Wear comfortable clothing that will keep you warm.
  • Vinyasa Yoga. Flowing movements that strengthen and stretch for an intense yet relaxing workout. Focus on proper alignment and form. Brings balance, calm, and peace.
  • Yamuna Body Rolling. A comprehensive whole body workout and self-massage!
  • Zumba. Dance your troubles away to world music! Fun, easy-to-follow steps! Wear dance sneakers or cross trainers. NO running shoes!
  • Zumba Toning. Dance away your troubles and tone your muscles. Easy-to-follow steps. Wear dance shoes or cross trainers. No running shoes.
