The artists exhibiting at Parkpoint Health Clubs are members of the club or our very own staff. The Buchanan family (Club owners) are delighted to showcase the art of their members and staff, and feel blessed to have their clubs enjoy such beautiful work. They are grateful to have so many talented artists in all three clubs. It has been a pleasure to share their appreciation of art with all the members and Parkpoint community.

GARY MARTIN
Since 1989, I’ve called Sonoma County home, though originally I am from Sacramento. After retiring from the wine industry, I found the time to pursue a long passion of mine in the arts—oil painting. The renowned artists of the Renaissance and the ones that followed in that style led me to study under classically-trained artists through online and in-person classes as well as various workshops. Initially my education and practice were with Bay Area Artist Atelier in San Carlos and currently with Arthaus Atelier in Sebastopol.
Classical Realism emphasizes the representation of subjects or objects, capturing their essence while maintaining the focus on light shadow and form. The paintings displayed are my own personal journey in this genre of art, cast drawing and painting, portraiture, live model, landscape, and still life. Utilizing oil paint and direct observation, I strive to express the realistic nature of the subjects and create a sense of place and time.
