The artists exhibiting at Parkpoint Health Clubs are members of the club or our very own staff. The Buchanan family (Club owners) are delighted to showcase the art of their members and staff, and feel blessed to have their clubs enjoy such beautiful work. They are grateful to have so many talented artists in all three clubs. It has been a pleasure to share their appreciation of art with all the members and Parkpoint community.

RAKSHIKA & KASHYAP THAKOR
My photography journey started in mid 1960s in India when I was in medical school. My first camera at that time had 620 roll film. I got my first SLR (Single-Lens Reflex) 35mm camera in 1973 when I was in New York. SLR cameras started digital format later in 1990s. Mirrorless cameras started coming to the market around 2010. I have owned several Canon cameras and Canon lenses. I got my first mirrorless camera, Canon EOS R7, about 2 years ago. Photographs in this exhibit are mainly taken with a Canon EOS Rebel SL1, Canon EOS 7D Mark II, and mirrorless Canon EOS R7. There is one photograph taken by iPhone 13. Some photographs are taken by me and some photographs are taken by Rakshika. There is very little or no alteration done in the photographs. These photographs are from some of our favorite international trips. —Kashyap
I got interested in photography after our marriage. It seems our interest of traveling and photography has trickled down to our two sons. As we bought new cameras, we gave the old ones to our sons and they loved it. Traveling and taking photographs has helped me so much with my creative side. I am a printmaker and textile artist. I use some of the photographs for my images. Sometime I mix photographs to create new images. —Rakshika
